Healthy Meals for Cats with Kidney Disease
Fix-BARF® renal complete menus are specially designed for cats with chronic kidney disease, offering a tasty and nutritious feeding option. These menus have a significantly reduced phosphorus content to ease the kidneys. They are also grain-free and contain no carbohydrates, making them a high-quality and natural complete food.
Individually Calculated Recipes to Support the Body
Our renal complete menus are tailored to meet the specific nutritional needs of cats with kidney issues while supporting their bodies in various ways. Ingredients like pectin help reduce the formation of ammonia and urea in the colon, and the increased fiber content helps prevent common gastrointestinal issues in cats with kidney disease.
Specially Selected Ingredients
The phosphorus content is reduced by approximately 30% across all recipes, providing significant relief to the kidneys while maintaining a balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio. Additionally, the iron content, as well as levels of B vitamins, biotin, and folic acid, are increased to meet the elevated nutrient demands of cats with kidney disease. High-quality animal proteins and reduced ammonia production in the colon ensure a healthy digestive system. Cooked egg whites, increased fat, and fiber content contribute to an optimal nutritional profile.
Please Note:
Chronic kidney disease is incurable. Regular veterinary check-ups every six months are recommended to monitor disease progression and ensure adequate phosphorus supply despite the reduced phosphorus content in the food.

Included in the product
BARF pyramid
The BARF pyramid opposite shows how BARF meals should be divided up for a healthy, adult dog. Normally, the rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % vegetable components, although not all components need to be fed every day. Feeding sick animals or those with intolerances can look completely different. Our nutrition experts will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
Feeding recommendation
Fix-BARF® for Cats
The daily food amount should be approximately 25 - 30 g of food per kg of the cat's body weight. However, the specified food amounts are only guidelines and may vary significantly depending on age, breed, sex, and living conditions.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two portions per day.
All of our BARF products should be stored in the freezer at -18 °C and thawed in the refrigerator for about 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve the meat at room temperature.
