Our gently cooked renal Fix-BAF® complete menus are special kidney diets for chronically ill cats with renal insufficiency. High-quality muscle meat forms the basis of these delicious complete foods. Complemented by essential organs like heart and liver, as well as a tasty portion of fat, our food naturally provides many essential nutrients. To ensure the renal complete menus are 100% nutritionally complete, they are supplemented with essential additives.

Extra Fat as an Appetite Booster

Unlike conventional kidney diets, our Fix-BAF® renal is free of grains and other plant-based ingredients. Only important indigestible fibers in the form of pumpkin are included. Thanks to the high meat content, our renal specialty food is guaranteed to be a treat for any cat with kidney disease and is highly palatable. The phosphorus content is reduced by 30%, calcium is supplemented to meet nutritional needs, and the protein content is adjusted to the lower end of the recommended range. All of this supports and relieves cats with kidney disease.

Perfectly Balanced Recipes

For our gently cooked renal complete menus, we use only high-quality muscle meat. The recipes also feature an increased fat content of 15-20%, and the fiber content has been increased to 10%. Additionally, cooked egg whites are used to further reduce phosphorus levels. Fix-BAF® renal is low in sodium and contains increased amounts of iron, B vitamins, vitamin E, and taurine. This is essential because cats with kidney disease often suffer from nutrient deficiencies due to increased urine excretion and impaired kidney function. The addition of pectin rounds off our cooked renal meals. Pectin binds toxins produced in the colon and facilitates their excretion, further relieving the kidneys.

Please Note:
Since chronic renal insufficiency is an incurable disease, we recommend having your cat examined by a veterinarian every six months. Blood tests can help assess the progression of the disease and determine whether your cat is adequately supplied with phosphorus despite the reduced phosphorus content in the food.

Please note that we do not use any binders in our Fix-BAF® products. Therefore, you should knead the pouches well before opening to mix the meat juice with the solid components.
