Chicken & Beef Kidney Special Menu - Fix-BAF® (cooked)
Description
Fresh Meat for the Health of Your Cat
Our wet food Fix-BAF® Complete Meal Beef and Turkey is part of our line of renal products specially created for cats with chronic kidney issues. High-quality beef muscle meat forms the base of this tasty wet food. It is then mixed with turkey hearts and liver, along with a generous portion of beef fat and blood.
This balanced complete menu provides many essential nutrients through its natural ingredients. The recipe is rounded off with carefully calculated supplements, allowing us to offer a high-quality and well-balanced complete food for cats with chronic kidney insufficiency.
Only Premium Ingredients
Unlike conventional renal food, our Fix-BAF® is free from grains and other plant fillers. Only a small portion of pumpkin is included, providing important indigestible fibre. With its high meat content, our special renal wet food is guaranteed to be a treat for your kidney-impaired cat.
The phosphate content is reduced by 30 %, calcium is supplemented to meet requirements (Ca/P = 1.4:1), and the protein content is adjusted to the lower end of recommended levels. Overall, our food supports cats with kidney issues and helps promote their well-being.
How We Formulate Our Renal Food
For our cooked renal complete menus, we use only high-quality muscle meat, combined with increased fat and fibre content. To further reduce phosphate levels, we include cooked egg whites.
The Fix-BAF® special renal wet food is also low in sodium and contains increased levels of iron, vitamin B, vitamin E, and taurine, as these are particularly important for cats with kidney disease. Cats often develop deficiencies due to increased urination and reduced kidney function. The addition of pectin binds toxins in the large intestine and helps remove them, which further eases the strain on the kidneys.
Please note: Our special renal wet food is significantly reduced in phosphate, so biannual blood tests are essential to detect any potential phosphate deficiency in your cat and to monitor the progression of the disease while on this diet.
The product was developed in collaboration with our animal health practitioner, Petra von Quillfeldt. Here you can find more information about our Fix-BAF® products and the supplements used.
