Tripe and leaf tripe are two of the four stomachs of ruminants such as cattle (rumen, leaf tripe, abomasum, omasum) and are rich in proteins, fiber, minerals, and pre-digested plant matter. Green or White Tripe? The Differences

Green tripe is the more natural option. It is only roughly rinsed, preserving the pre-digested plant fibers and beneficial bacteria. Feeding Recommendations for Tripe & Leaf Tripe

Tripe and leaf tripe can make up about 20% of the animal portion in a BARF diet. A balanced meal based on the prey model consists of 80% animal and 20% plant components. The animal portion is made up of 50% muscle meat, 20% tripe and leaf tripe, 15% organs, and 15% raw meaty bones. If you prefer not to feed tripe or leaf tripe, you can simply replace that portion with muscle meat.
