What Makes Abomasum So Special?
The abomasum is the fourth and final stomach of ruminants, where the actual digestion process takes place. Since the stomach contents are already partially digested here, it makes nutrient absorption particularly easy for your dog. The abomasum contains valuable food residues with essential vitamins and minerals, as well as beneficial gut bacteria and fibers that support your dog’s digestion.

Our abomasum is washed and finely ground to ensure optimal digestibility and consistency. Freshly processed with abomasums from cattle raised in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern under humane conditions, we guarantee your dog receives a product of the highest quality and freshness, perfectly supplementing their diet.
Note: Abomasum is a natural product that is only roughly cleaned in our production, not washed. Therefore, we recommend checking the product for foreign objects before feeding.

Feeding recommendation
For a balanced BARF diet for adult healthy dogs, we recommend a feeding composition of 80 % animal and 20 % plant-based components. The animal portion should be divided into 50 % muscle meat, 20 % tripe and omasum, 15 % offal, and 15 % raw meaty bones (RMB). The plant-based portion usually consists of 75 % vegetables and 25 % fruit.

For adult healthy cats, the animal portion of BARF rations should be 95 %, consisting of approximately 65 % muscle meat, heart, fat, and blood, as well as 15 % raw meaty bones and offal. The remaining 5 % consists of fiber-rich vegetables such as carrots or pumpkin.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two meals per day and supplementing with essential nutrients such as omega-3-6-9 oil or salmon oil, as well as seaweed meal and, if necessary, cod liver oil.
All our BARF products should be stored at -18 °C in the freezer and thawed in the refrigerator for approx. 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve at room temperature.
