For allergy sufferers
Hypoallergenic Cat Food for allergy sufferers – the right choice for food allergies
Food allergies are one of the most common causes of skin and digestive problems in cats. The right diet therefore plays a crucial role in avoiding allergic reactions and supporting your cat’s overall health. With our hypoallergenic raw Fix-BARF® and gently cooked Fix-BAF® complete menus, you can ensure that your cat is fed in a balanced and species-appropriate way – completely without allergy-triggering ingredients.
What is a food allergy in cats?
A food allergy occurs when the cat’s immune system reacts with an exaggerated defence response to certain ingredients in the food. This reaction can be triggered by animal or plant proteins. The most common allergens include beef, fish, grains, soy and dairy products.
Typical symptoms of a food allergy include itching, skin rashes, gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhoea or vomiting, as well as eye and ear infections. If your cat shows one or more of these symptoms, an elimination diet should be considered.
Elimination diet: the first step towards the right nutrition
To identify which ingredients are causing the allergic reaction, an elimination diet is recommended. For at least six to eight weeks, only one single protein source should be fed – one your cat has never had before (e.g. horse, ostrich or venison). If no allergic reactions occur, another ingredient can slowly be introduced afterwards. This way, problematic components can be identified and avoided in the future.
Hypoallergenic cat food for allergies
After a successful elimination diet, it is important to continue feeding a well-tolerated food long-term. Our Fix-BARF® and Fix-BAF® complete menus were specially developed for cats with allergies and provide high-quality nutrition with just a single animal protein source. They consist of 95% high-quality meat and offal, combined with 5% valuable fibre such as raw carrots.

- Grain-free – no unnecessary carbohydrates or allergy-triggering fillers
- Free from artificial additives – no preservatives, colourings or flavour enhancers
- Single-protein – ideal for avoiding intolerances
- Optimised with essential nutrients – for a healthy and balanced diet
