Our Fix-BAF® Complete Menu Chicken & Beef is a gently cooked wet food, specially designed for cats with kidney insufficiency. The foundation of this unique complete food is premium muscle meat from chicken and beef. It is complemented by chicken hearts, liver, and fat, as well as beef blood and broth. Each ingredient is carefully selected to naturally provide your cat with all essential nutrients. By adding carefully measured supplements, this special wet food becomes a balanced complete food for cats with chronic kidney insufficiency.
Only Premium Ingredients
Unlike conventional kidney food, our Fix-BAF® is grain-free and free from other plant-based fillers. Only a portion of pumpkin is included to provide essential indigestible fiber. With its high meat content, our cooked kidney special menu is sure to be a delight for your cat with kidney disease. The phosphate content is reduced by 30%, calcium is supplemented as needed (Ca/P = 1.4/1), and protein content is adjusted to the lower end of the required range. This combination helps support and relieve your cat with kidney issues.
How We Formulate Our Kidney Food
For our cooked renal complete menus, we use only premium muscle meat along with an increased proportion of fat and fiber. To further reduce phosphate levels, cooked egg whites are used. The Fix-BAF® cooked kidney special menus are also low in sodium and have increased levels of iron, B vitamins, vitamin E, and taurine. This is necessary because cats with kidney disease often suffer from nutrient deficiencies due to increased urination and reduced kidney function. The addition of pectin binds and removes toxins formed in the colon, which further relieves the kidneys.
Please note: Our kidney special food is significantly phosphate-reduced, so semi-annual blood tests are essential to detect any potential phosphate deficiency in your cat and to monitor the disease progression on this diet.
