The Fix-BAF® Chicken & Beef Renal complete menu is a gently cooked wet food specially developed for cats suffering from chronic renal insufficiency. Premium-quality chicken and beef muscle meat form the basis of this special complete feed. It is complemented by chicken hearts, liver and fat as well as beef blood and broth. All these ingredients have been carefully selected to provide your cat with all essential nutrients in the most natural way possible. The addition of selected supplements in individually calculated amounts makes this gently cooked dietary food a balanced complete feed for cats with chronic renal insufficiency.
Food adapted to special nutritional needs
Unlike conventional renal food, Fix-BAF® Renal is free from grains and other unnecessary fillers. It contains only a portion of pumpkin, which serves as a source of dietary fibre. Thanks to its very high meat content and moderate fat content, the cooked renal diet food is highly palatable for cats with kidney disease. Its phosphorus content is reduced by 30%, calcium is supplemented in amounts that meet nutritional requirements (Ca/P = 1.4/1), and the protein content is set at the lower end of the range required to meet your cat’s needs. All of this helps to support your cat with chronic kidney disease and reduce the strain on its body in everyday life.
How Fix-BAF® renal food is formulated
Only very high-quality muscle meat and increased proportions of fat and dietary fibre are used in the cooked Renal complete menus. Cooked egg white is added to reduce the phosphorus content even further. It provides important proteins without containing phosphorus, which can be harmful to cats with kidney disease.
The cooked Fix-BAF® renal diet food is low in sodium and contains increased amounts of iron, B vitamins, vitamin E and taurine. This is necessary because cats with kidney disease often suffer from deficiencies in various essential nutrients due to increased urine production and impaired kidney function. The addition of pectin further complements the cooked renal meals. It binds toxins produced in the large intestine and supports their elimination, helping to reduce the strain on your cat’s kidneys.

Please note: The renal diet food has a significantly reduced phosphorus content, which is why the recommended feeding period is initially limited to 6 months. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before using the food or extending the feeding period. Regular blood tests are advisable to detect a possible phosphorus deficiency at an early stage and to assess the progression of the condition under this diet as accurately as possible.
Please ensure that your cat always has access to sufficient fresh water. We recommend mixing the Fix-BAF® renal diet food with 1–3 tablespoons of warm water (depending on acceptance) before feeding to help increase your cat’s fluid intake.
