Essential Bones in BARF Feeding
Our ground chicken necks are an excellent choice if you want to feed your dog or cat a BARF diet. The soft bones are easily digestible due to their high meat content and provide plenty of essential calcium, which is important for healthy teeth, bones, and joints. Thanks to their fine consistency, ground chicken necks are also particularly suitable for puppies, seniors, and smaller pets that have difficulty chewing larger bones.
Nutrient-Rich Treat for Your Pet
In addition to their high calcium content, chicken necks also provide other valuable nutrients such as phosphorus and proteins. The necks come from chickens raised in Germany and are freshly processed in our in-house production. As a bone component in the BARF diet, chicken necks play an essential role. They should be fed regularly to ensure a balanced supply of calcium and other important minerals. Our ground chicken necks can be easily combined with other BARF components such as muscle meat, offal, and vegetables to provide your pet with a complete and species-appropriate diet.

BARF pyramid
The BARF pyramid opposite shows how BARF meals should be divided up for a healthy, adult dog. Normally, the rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % vegetable components, although not all components need to be fed every day. Feeding sick animals or those with intolerances can look completely different. Our nutrition experts will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
Feeding recommendation
For a balanced BARF diet for adult healthy dogs, we recommend a composition of 80% animal and 20% plant components. The animal portion should be divided into 50% muscle meat, 20% tripe and leaf tripe, 15% organs, and 15% raw meaty bones (RMB). The plant portion typically consists of 75% vegetables and 25% fruit.
To calculate the exact BARF rations for your dog, you can use our free BARF calculator. Enter your dog's data, and receive the results for balanced daily and weekly rations within seconds.
For adult healthy cats, the animal portion of the BARF rations should be 95%. The remaining 5% should consist of fiber-rich vegetables like carrots or pumpkin.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two portions per day and supplementing it with essential dietary supplements such as Omega-3-6-9 oil and seaweed powder.
All of our BARF products should be stored in the freezer at -18 °C and thawed in the refrigerator for about 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve the meat at room temperature.
