Description
Perfect for Gourmets with a Sensitive Stomach
Chicken breast meat is highly digestible and ideal for dogs and cats with a sensitive digestive tract or as a gentle diet. Since chicken is low in fat and rich in protein, it is also a great choice for pets with excess weight. For cats, chicken is often one of the top preferences.
Meaty Pieces to Encourage Chewing
Our chicken breast pieces encourage chewing and add variety to the bowl. The differently sized chunks are particularly tasty and provide a special eating experience. Many cats also enjoy chunkier meat, especially if they are accustomed to it. Combined with bones, offal, and a plant-based portion, you can prepare delicious and balanced meals.
Salmonella in Chicken Meat When Feeding Raw
The fear of salmonella infection when feeding raw poultry is common. However, dogs and cats face no risk, as their strong stomach acid and robust immune systems effectively neutralize these bacteria. Thus, chicken can be safely fed raw. Be sure to maintain kitchen hygiene: thoroughly clean utensils, cutting boards, and work surfaces after contact with raw meat or thawing water to prevent cross-contamination.

Feeding recommendation
For a balanced BARF diet for adult healthy dogs, we recommend a feeding composition of 80 % animal and 20 % plant-based components. The animal portion should be divided into 50 % muscle meat, 20 % tripe and omasum, 15 % offal, and 15 % raw meaty bones (RMB). The plant-based portion usually consists of 75 % vegetables and 25 % fruit.
Tip: To accurately calculate your dog's BARF rations, you can use our free BARF calculator. Simply enter your dog's data and receive balanced daily and weekly rations within seconds.
For adult healthy cats, the animal portion of BARF rations should be 95 %, consisting of approximately 65 % muscle meat, heart, fat, and blood, as well as 15 % raw meaty bones and offal. The remaining 5 % consists of fiber-rich vegetables such as carrots or pumpkin.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two meals per day and supplementing with essential nutrients such as omega-3-6-9 oil or salmon oil, as well as seaweed meal and, if necessary, cod liver oil.
All our BARF products should be stored at -18 °C in the freezer and thawed in the refrigerator for approx. 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve at room temperature.

The BARF pyramid
BARF pyramid for dogs
The BARF pyramid shown alongside illustrates how BARF meals can be structured for a healthy, adult dog. As a general rule, rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % plant-based components, although not all elements need to be fed every single day. Feeding sick dogs or those with intolerances may look completely different. Therefore, the illustration should be seen as a general guideline only. Our nutrition experts are happy to help you with any questions about the right BARF ration for your four-legged friend.
BARF pyramid for cats
The BARF pyramid shown here illustrates how a balanced BARF meal for a healthy, adult cat can be structured. However, it serves only as a rough guideline, as the composition can vary significantly depending on your cat's tolerance, acceptance, and individual needs. A BARF ration typically consists of 95% animal-based and 5% plant-based ingredients. Heart is considered muscle meat and should make up a maximum of 20% of the total ration. Offal includes, among other things, stomach and liver, as well as – depending on the cat's preferences – spleen, kidney, and lung. Suitable meaty bones include, for example, chicken necks, while breastbone is unsuitable for cats.
