Complete Menu with Low Iodine Content
The Fix-BARF® special menu Turkey & Chicken for cats with hyperthyroidism is characterized by its very low iodine content: 150 g of food (which is a daily portion for a 4 kg cat) contains only 16 µg of iodine. This ensures a complete diet for your thyroid-affected cat without the risk of acute iodine deficiency.
Consistently High Quality
The formulation of this complete menu is in line with that of our Fix-BARF® basic complete menus: all ingredients are carefully selected and combined, the meat is of particularly high quality, and the supplements are calculated individually for each recipe. This ensures that your cat will not experience either an excess or a deficiency of essential nutrients. As with all Fix-BARF® complete menus, this thyroid special food is a healthy complete food for your cat with thyroid issues.
Highly Digestible and Particularly Tasty
With a high proportion of highly digestible turkey meat, the Fix-BARF® special menu Turkey & Chicken is a real treat for any cat. It is complemented with chicken offal and fat, making this raw meat meal something your cat is guaranteed to enjoy. In this BARF meal, we avoid adding any carbohydrates. Only indigestible fiber in the form of carrots is included, which is important for good digestion in your cat. Of course, we also do not use any artificial additives, preservatives, or flavorings, and there is absolutely no sugar in our raw meat complete menus. This ensures that your cat with hyperthyroidism is fed in a natural and species-appropriate way.
This product was developed in collaboration with our animal health practitioner Petra von Quillfeldt. Here you can find more information about our Fix-BARF® products and the supplements used.
Included in the product
BARF pyramid
The BARF pyramid opposite shows how BARF meals should be divided up for a healthy, adult dog. Normally, the rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % vegetable components, although not all components need to be fed every day. Feeding sick animals or those with intolerances can look completely different. Our nutrition experts will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
Feeding recommendation
Fix-BARF® for Cats
The daily food amount should be approximately 25 - 30 g of food per kg of the cat's body weight. However, the specified food amounts are only guidelines and may vary significantly depending on age, breed, sex, and living conditions.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two portions per day.
All of our BARF products should be stored in the freezer at -18 °C and thawed in the refrigerator for about 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve the meat at room temperature.
