Cold-pressed evening primrose oil: A valuable source of essential fatty acids
Evening primrose is a plant that originally comes from North America and has also been traditionally valued in Europe since the 17th century. The oil obtained from the seeds of the evening primrose is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Dogs cannot produce these essential fatty acids in sufficient quantities themselves, which is why they must be supplied through their diet.
An important addition to the daily diet
Essential fatty acids are part of a balanced diet and contribute to normal body functions. Evening primrose oil is therefore often used as a supplement to the daily feeding routine, particularly in connection with skin and coat. It can be added to food or used externally for the care of dry skin areas.
