Minced Salmon: Nutrient-Rich Component for BARF Diet
Our minced salmon is an ideal component for a balanced BARF diet for your dog or cat. It is rich in valuable nutrients and ensures a healthy variety in your pet's bowl. Salmon provides essential Omega-3 fatty acids, which play an important role in the health of skin, coat, joints, and the cardiovascular system. These high-quality fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects and naturally support your pet's immune system.
Rich in Protein & Easily Digestible
In addition to healthy fatty acids, salmon also provides important animal proteins that promote muscle development and cell regeneration in your dog or cat. Thanks to its good digestibility, our minced salmon is also suitable for sensitive pets or those with allergies to certain types of meat. Not only is salmon well tolerated, but it also provides important vitamins such as vitamin D and B12, as well as minerals like iodine and selenium, which can contribute to your pet's overall health.
Perfect for a Balanced BARF Meal
Minced salmon can be fed in combination with other BARF components such as muscle meat, offal, bones, and vegetables to create a balanced meal for dogs and cats. Especially for furry friends who appreciate a fishy variety in their bowl, our salmon is a great choice – suitable for both young and older pets.

BARF pyramid
The BARF pyramid opposite shows how BARF meals should be divided up for a healthy, adult dog. Normally, the rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % vegetable components, although not all components need to be fed every day. Feeding sick animals or those with intolerances can look completely different. Our nutrition experts will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
Feeding recommendation
For a balanced BARF diet for adult healthy dogs, we recommend a composition of 80% animal and 20% plant components. The animal portion should be divided into 50% muscle meat, 20% tripe and leaf tripe, 15% organs, and 15% raw meaty bones (RMB). The plant portion typically consists of 75% vegetables and 25% fruit.
To calculate the exact BARF rations for your dog, you can use our free BARF calculator. Enter your dog's data, and receive the results for balanced daily and weekly rations within seconds.
For adult healthy cats, the animal portion of the BARF rations should be 95%. The remaining 5% should consist of fiber-rich vegetables like carrots or pumpkin.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two portions per day and supplementing it with essential dietary supplements such as Omega-3-6-9 oil and seaweed powder.
All of our BARF products should be stored in the freezer at -18 °C and thawed in the refrigerator for about 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve the meat at room temperature.
