Light and summery: chicken in the bowl
When the days get warmer, things can be a little fresher and lighter in the bowl too. Our Summer Menu with chicken combines carefully selected animal ingredients with fresh fruit and vegetables – ideal for all four-legged friends who should be naturally and balancedly nourished even on warm days.
The recipe contains not only muscle meat, but also fat, gizzards, liver, heart and chicken necks. This creates a varied BARF meal based on the prey principle, providing your dog with important nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and high-quality amino acids.
Fresh ingredients for summery enjoyment
To make the menu not only nourishing but also pleasantly fresh, it is complemented by 20 % seasonal fruit and vegetables. Iceberg lettuce and endive provide valuable plant compounds and minerals, while courgette adds a light, summery touch.
Apple and banana naturally round off the composition. They provide fibre and give the menu a fine, fruity sweetness – no frills, but plenty of flavour in the bowl.
Perfect for warm days
Especially in summer, many dogs eat a little more cautiously or prefer smaller portions. Our Summer Menu can therefore be wonderfully divided into several small meals throughout the day. Feeding in the morning or evening, when it is a little cooler outside, is particularly pleasant.
This turns every portion into a little summer-fresh menu for your four-legged friend – natural, balanced and delicious.

Feeding recommendation
Recommended daily feeding amount:
small dog: approx. 4 % of body weight
medium-sized dog: approx. 3 % of body weight
large dog: approx. 2 % of body weight
These values should be considered as rough guidelines. Depending on individual factors such as activity level, age, health condition, and breed, the recommended amounts may vary significantly.
We recommend dividing the total food amount into at least two meals per day and supplementing with essential nutrients such as omega-3-6-9 oil or salmon oil, as well as seaweed meal and, if necessary, cod liver oil.
All our BARF products should be stored at -18 °C in the freezer and thawed in the refrigerator for approx. 12 hours before feeding, either without packaging or with sufficient air holes. Serve at room temperature.
The BARF pyramid
BARF pyramid for dogs
The BARF pyramid shown alongside illustrates how BARF meals can be structured for a healthy, adult dog. As a general rule, rations consist of 80 % animal and 20 % plant-based components, although not all elements need to be fed every single day. Feeding sick dogs or those with intolerances may look completely different. Therefore, the illustration should be seen as a general guideline only. Our nutrition experts are happy to help you with any questions about the right BARF ration for your four-legged friend.
